Tricks for Finding What You Need on Bing

Get the information you need right at the Bing search box. This is great for answers needed quickly or often. The Bing search bar can calculate math and define words.
Use the background image on Bing for inspiration. Place your mouse over different locations on the screen to learn new facts about the visual or topics related to it.
Enter any mathematical equation in the Bing search box and learn the answer.
Ask questions in the search box to access the Encarta encyclopedia knowledge. Your answer will be displayed.
Type in a word directly into the Bing box and get it defined. Type the word and “define.”
If you need to find out an IP address type in the keyword “IP:a.”  Change the letter a to the IP address that you want to search for. There will be a domain list provided that is associated with that IP.
Get statistics on almost anything. Type in the knowledge you seek, for example, “population of China” and Bing will give you the answer.
To find out the location of a particular area code or zip code simply type the number in the box and the location will be displayed for you.
If you can’t find a business phone number in other area, chances are Bing can help you. Type the business name in and you will likely fin the company’s phone number.
Find out a car history by entering the VIN number in the Bing search box.
Get up to the minute stock quotes by adding “stock” or “quote” in the box along with the stock symbol or company name.
If you need the date of a holiday, just enter the holiday and the year in the box to find out what date the even falls on.
Sports scores are available from Bing by entering the name of the team and the word score.
